A Brief History
Established in 2007 by Akash Jalan in Ranchi, we are a chain of both multiplex and single-screen theaters known as Eylex Films. Eylex Films holds the distinction of pioneering the multiplex concept in the regions of Jharkhand and Bihar. The inauguration of our inaugural multiplex occurred in Ranchi in 2007, a significant milestone as it marked the first multiplex in Ranchi and the states of Jharkhand, Bihar, and Odisha.
Currently, our chain proudly operates 24 screens across various cities, including Ranchi, Jamshedpur, Deoghar, Muzaffarpur, Sambalpur, and Jharsuguda. Eylex Films has ambitious plans for further expansion, with a strong desire to extend its cinematic footprint throughout India. What originally began as a single multiplex project evolved due to the overwhelmingly positive response from cinema-goers, prompting us to launch Eylex cinemas in multiple cities.
In 2016, Eylex Films ventured into film production, diversifying its engagement in the entertainment industry. The debut production, titled “Mandobasar Galpo,” is a Bengali film that was scheduled for release on the 24th of March in 2017. Directed by Tathagata Banerjee and produced by Akash Jalan and Vickash Chowdhury, the film boasts a cast featuring acclaimed actors such as Parambrata Chattopadhyay, Paoli Dam, Anindya Chatterjee, Indrasish Roy, and Kaushik Sen.
Eylex aims to establish its presence across India with multiplexes in every city, create compelling films in regional languages, and provide a platform for emerging talents to thrive.
To actively support the sustainable development of India's entertainment sector through fair and unbiased initiatives.
Eylex Films values its team as a close-knit family, prioritizing the adherence to core principles, particularly integrity. Upholding strong ethical standards is paramount for all individuals representing our organization.
